Job summary

MD&A is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Marion, Ohio team. The role involves setting up and operating CNC/machine tools to produce large industrial components with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have CNC lathe/mill or VTL experience in a heavy industrial setting and be able to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments. Shift work and overtime are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing complete machine setups.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of machining tolerances and shop math.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform machining operations on large industrial components.
• Operate vertical and horizontal machining equipment.
• Utilize precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and offsets.
• Complete production documentation and labor tracking.
• Conduct routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow all company quality and safety procedures.
