Job summary

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced CNC Operator / Machinist for a full-time day-shift role in Baltimore, Maryland. This hands-on position is in a job shop environment, not a production line, and requires setup, adjustment, and operation of CNC milling equipment to meet precise tolerances.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, select tooling, set up Haas milling centers, and run parts with minimal supervision while ensuring quality.

Qualifications

5–10 years of hands-on CNC machining experience required.
Hands-on CNC milling machine setup experience required.
Ability to independently operate CNC milling centers.
Strong understanding of Haas CNC milling centers or comparable equipment.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and engineering information.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, and operate CNC milling machines.
Perform precision machining operations using basic, specialized, and advanced tools.
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering information.
Determine machining methods and sequences to fabricate parts.
Set and verify workholding and fixtures; select cutting tools.
Monitor feeds and speeds; make in-process edits when required.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and part quality through inspection.
