Job summary

GEOTEK is seeking a Machining Specialist to set up and operate CNC and manual machines, ensuring precision and quality in manufactured components. You will interpret drawings, select tooling, and maintain equipment while mentoring junior machinists and upholding safety standards.

This role requires 7+ years in machining, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment at our Minnesota facility.

Qualifications

• 7+ years machining experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Advanced CNC programming knowledge (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens or similar).
• Strong GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement skills.
• Ability to set up complex jobs and work independently.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines including mills, lathes, grinders, and other precision equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and work instructions to machine parts to specification.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for various materials and machining operations.
• Inspect in-process and finished components using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, CMM, calipers, gauges).
• Supports the Mission of the organization and adheres to all company policies
• Performs other duties as directed
