Job summary

Trinity Employment Specialists is seeking a Lead Setup Machinist for the 2nd shift in Broken Arrow, OK. The role requires strong expertise in CNC lathes and mills, Fanuc editing, and complex setup leadership to support production goals.

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision machine shop.
Proficient with CNC lathes and CNC mills.
Strong CNC setup experience, including tooling, workholding, offsets, and program verification.
Proficient making program edits and adjustments at Fanuc controls.
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and setup documentation.
Strong understanding of precision measurement and tight-tolerance machining.
Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and quality issues.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to delegate work and make production decisions with limited supervision.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate both CNC lathes and CNC mills.
Select and install appropriate tooling, inserts, fixtures, workholding, and cutting tools.
Load, verify, and edit CNC programs using Fanuc controls.
Make program adjustments, offsets, and corrections to maintain quality and production requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, setup sheets, work instructions, and job documentation.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues.
Identify problems affecting quality, productivity, or machine uptime and determine appropriate solutions.
Help prioritize jobs and delegate work to machinists and operators based on production needs.
Provide technical guidance and support to less-experienced machinists.
Monitor production progress and help keep jobs on schedule.
Make decisions regarding setups, tooling, machining methods, and production priorities with limited supervision.
Communicate production issues, quality concerns, and job status to management.
Assist with training and development of machining personnel.
Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
Ensure proper quality and safety procedures are followed throughout the shift.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machining environment.
