Job summary

Jennmar Services is seeking a Level 3 CNC Lathe Operator to join our Clare, MI team. The role involves setting up and running CNC lathes, interpreting blueprints and CAD files, selecting appropriate tools and speeds, and inspecting parts to ensure tolerances are met.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required; vocational training or related experience preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge and good trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and CAD files.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and interpret blueprints and CAD files.
• Select tools, speeds and feeds for machining operations.
• Inspect parts to ensure tolerances with precision measuring tools.
• Write and edit CNC programs at the controller; create CAM programs.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operations and setup instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality control to resolve issues.
• Train other machinists or operators; work independently or in teams.
• Adhere to safety requirements and pursue continuous improvements.
