NCC Automated Systems, part of ATS Automation, is seeking a Senior CNC Lathe Machinist to program, set up, operate, and inspect precision components for custom conveyor and automation equipment. You will read drawings, select tooling, and optimize processes to meet tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has extensive CNC lathe experience, strong G-code skills, and the ability to work independently on low-volume, high-precision parts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of CNC lathe machining experience.
• Strong proficiency in G-code programming, editing, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes.
• Experience machining steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, tolerances, and GD&T callouts.
• Advanced knowledge of machining practices, tooling, cutting parameters, and part inspection.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators and other inspection tools.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, tolerances, and manufacturing docs.
• Create, edit, prove out, and optimize G-code programs.
• Select tooling, workholding, speeds, and feeds for efficiency and quality.
• Perform machine setups, first-piece inspections, and in-process checks.
• Inspect finished components with precision measuring instruments and verify specs.
• Maintain close tolerances and consistent quality across low-volume work.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain production, setup, and inspection records.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to improve processes.
• Follow all safety policies and manufacturing standards.
