Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and CNC devices.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on shop equipment and machinery.
• Experience in completing purchase requisitions and maintaining contact with vendors.
• Attention to detail and safety-consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines; following diagrams, manuals, and specifications; and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools; examining parts.
• Assist in installing and relocating shop machinery and equipment.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts by using instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintain inventories by checking stock and expediting orders.
