Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer programming or a related field plus five or more years of progressive CNC programming experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of CNC principles, theories, and concepts; ability to lead, organize, schedule, and coordinate work to meet milestones.
• Ability to contribute to developing new processes and solving complex technical problems.
• Customer focus with ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions to complex problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to document, report, and present findings.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, willing to work extended hours and travel; DoD security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develops CNC programs for machining parts using NX as primary software and Mastercam and Creo as secondary tools.
• Determines program routines for efficient computation of dimensional and machining requirements.
• Tests and modifies existing programs for changes or improvements.
• Assists in preparing departmental documentation and standard procedures.
• May liaise with suppliers and vendors and provide direction to junior staff.
