Actalent in Columbia, SC, is seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer to lead Construction Materials Testing (CMT), Special Inspections, Geotechnical, and Construction Services projects.

You will oversee project delivery, mentor staff, and help grow client relationships across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. This permanent onsite role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and profitable project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification and progress toward PE license preferred.
• Experience managing CMT, Special Inspections, Geotechnical, or Construction Services projects.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, staffing, and project execution.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, ICC, AASHTO, IBC, and DOT standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead project delivery from proposal to closeout across CMT, SI, Geotechnical, and Construction Services.
• Coordinate testing and inspection activities on soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, structural steel, deep foundations.
• Review engineering reports, testing results, inspection documentation, proposals, and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership and QA/QC reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing, and fees.
• Mentor junior engineers, inspectors, and technicians; supervise project staff.
