Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. in Bloomington, MN, is seeking a Test and Characterization Senior Engineer to validate, test, and characterize CMOS ICs, SRAM, and mixed-signal devices.

You will help ensure high-quality, reliable products across advanced semiconductor processes. You will develop test plans, run DC/AC measurements, analyze data with Python, JMP, or Minitab, and collaborate with design and process teams.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years experience with BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (CMOS focus).
• CMOS test and characterization experience in a semiconductor fab.
• Programming in C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Ruby or similar for test software.
• Data analysis with Python (Pandas) or MATLAB; statistical tools like JMP/Minitab.
• Solid understanding of CMOS device operation and characterization techniques.
• Familiar with DC/AC parametric and functional test methodologies.
• Experience with ATE, oscilloscopes, GPIB; test equipment maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork; US security clearance readiness.
• US Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

• Test Development: develop test methodologies and plans for CMOS devices, SRAM, and analog/digital products.
• Characterization: perform DC/AC parametric measurements on CMOS ICs.
• Test Execution: run tests, troubleshoot, ensure accurate data.
• Data Analysis: analyze results using JMP, Minitab, Python to extract insights.
• Test Automation: improve test methods and automation scripts.
• Documentation: prepare test reports and present findings to teams.
• Collaboration: work with product/process/design teams to support validation.
• Equipment Maintenance: calibrate and maintain test equipment.
