Job summary

Qualcomm in San Diego is seeking a Principal Engineer to coordinate with image sensor vendors and lead the development of innovative imaging systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in CMOS image sensor development, technical leadership, and collaboration with external partners. A PhD or Master’s in a related field with extensive experience is required.

You will drive significant technical projects that influence organizational decisions and contribute to Qualcomm's vision of a smarter, connected future.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in CMOS Image Sensor development.
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role with direct reports.
• 3+ years of work experience with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, verify, debug, and validate camera systems.
• Collect and analyze sensor/module roadmaps.
• Partner with external vendors to align their roadmaps with Qualcomm imaging systems.
