Qualcomm Multimedia Systems Group is seeking candidates for its camera firmware team in San Diego, CA. The team focuses on imaging system design and development for mobile devices at both high and low tiers as well as adjacent markets. We are seeking candidates with technical excellence in embedded system development and the creativity and initiative to apply their technical knowledge to exciting new camera technologies.

Responsibilities

• Embedded low-level camera driver design and development, working throughout the firmware life cycle.
• End-to-end systems development, prototyping and commercialization of new camera features and technologies.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with C/C++ programming.
• Experience with microcontroller architecture, RTOS, and/or ARM architecture.
• Familiarity with Android, JTAG, ADB, version control.
• Strong background in digital signal processing and digital image processing.
• Quick learner, self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Assembly programming, embedded software experience, and understanding of fixed-point implementation preferred.
• Experience with developing and implementing image processing algorithms preferred.
• 3-5 years related industry experience preferred.

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
