Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior CMM Programmer to join our manufacturing team in the United States. You will design and optimize PC-DMIS programs for complex machined components, ensuring GD&T accuracy and robust inspection routines across roughing to finishing stages.

With 10+ years in CMM programming and mentoring, you will collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing to drive improvements while ensuring ITAR/EAR compliance and strict documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of CMM programming experience with PC-DMIS.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T.
• ITAR/EAR regulatory compliance experience.
• Ability to mentor other CMM programmers.

Responsibilities

• CMM programming using PC-DMIS to design inspection programs for machined components.
• Ensure GD&T features are accurately represented in part data.
• Maintain documentation of inspection programs, data locations, reports, and non-conformances.
• Collaborate daily with Quality and Manufacturing to address issues and drive corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of inspection processes.
• Assist in training inspectors on CMM operation and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality regulations and company policies.
• Apply root cause analysis to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.

About the Opportunity:

We're looking for an experienced Senior CMM Programmer Candidate. You will have the opportunity to work with an experienced and highly motivated team. The role will be processed based and will have a focus on programming and supporting CMM. There may be times when you may mentor other CMM Programmers.

Responsibilities:

• CMM Programming: Leverage existing PC-DMIS Programming Experience to design Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) programs for various feature types, stages of a parts throughout the process flow (roughed, semi-finish, finished) to ensure a robust inspection routines of machined components.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate representation of part features in alignment with GD&T standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of inspection programs, including measurement data location, inspection reports, and non-conformance records.
• Collaboration: Communicate daily with Quality and Manufacturing engineers and production teams to identify next steps, address quality issues, opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and optimize inspection procedures.
• Training Support: Assist in training initiatives for inspectors on CMM operation, inspection techniques, and quality standards.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality regulations, and company policies in all quality-related activities.
• Problem-Solving: Utilize root cause analysis tools to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 10+ years of experience in CMM programming using PCDMIS
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Other programming experience such as Calypso
• Experience mentoring and/or training other CMM programmers.
• Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques and part features made in various machining processes such as turning and milling.
• Experience in aerospace and with nickel, titanium and aluminum is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret blueprints and sketches accurately.
• Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Adaptable to changing business needs and skilled in problem-solving.
