Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a CMM / 3D Scan Programmer to create, validate, and maintain dimensional inspection programs for tactile CMMs and non-contact 3D scanning systems. You will interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5, build robust PC-DMIS and ZEISS Calypso programs, and collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality to deliver accurate dimensional data for launches and PPAP.

You will recover CMMs after faults, qualify probes, and coordinate with OEMs for repairs and calibration while

Qualifications

• Hands-on programming for CMMs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and datum references.
• Ability to read complex drawings and navigate 3D CAD models.
• Experience recovering inspection equipment and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and optimize CMM programs from 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Build alignments reflecting datum reference frames and schemes.
• Develop and maintain 3D scan inspection routines using PolyWorks, ZEISS INSPECT, or similar.
• Manage program revisions and update when drawings or requirements change.
• Design or specify inspection fixtures and validate them with Engineering.
