Job summary

General Motors is seeking a CMF Appearance Quality Development Lead to drive development and delivery of CMF materials from design intent through production launch, ensuring color, grain, gloss, and haptic characteristics meet high appearance quality standards across GM programs.

You will translate design targets into production-ready materials, guide supplier development, validate materials, and support launches while advancing material strategies and cross-functional collaboration with GM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of automotive appearance or materials development experience.
• Strong ability to evaluate color, grain, gloss, and haptic characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end material development for GM brands and programs.
• Collaborate with CMF Designers and suppliers to meet appearance targets.
• Track development status and deliver milestones on time.
