Job summary

Morningstar DBRS seeks a senior transaction lead on the North American Commercial Real Estate team to drive CMBS ratings and execution for complex deals. You will oversee analytics, manage a team of analysts, and engage with senior market participants to ensure high-quality credit decisions.

You will lead cash flow modeling, stress tests, and assessment of sponsor quality across property types, while presenting findings to committees and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years in commercial real estate credit or related field.
• Experience at a rating agency, lending institution, or credit-focused firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMBS analysis and ratings for complex transactions across SASB, conduit, CRE-CLO and related products.
• Chair and participate in credit rating committees, ensuring policy adherence.
• Mentor and develop a team of analysts; oversee workload and quality control.
• Engage with issuers, lenders, investors, and conferences; publish research for market.
