Job summary

Axia Women’s Health is hiring a Medical Assistant (CMA) for an on-site role in New Jersey. You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, document vitals, and assist with procedures including colposcopy and IUD insertions.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, CLIA waived tests, and order entry with CPOE, ensuring accurate records and strong patient communication. You will support scheduling and follow‑ups while maintaining inventory and room readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current national Medical Assistant credentials (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA) required.
• CPR certification required if performing office-based surgeries.
• Minimum 3 years CMA experience.
• Fertility/Reproductive Health or OB/GYN/Women’s Health experience preferred.
• eClinicalWorks EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients professionally and courteously.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for examinations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document vitals and procedures.
• Assist with examinations and office-based procedures (colposcopy, IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies).
• Administer medications and injections per providers’ orders.
• Manage lab specimens and perform CLIA-waived tests per protocols.
• Enter orders via CPOE and ensure inventory and room readiness.
• Support scheduling, patient inquiries, and follow-ups.
• Assist with office-based surgeries and post-operative processes.
• Oversee orientation/training of new CMAs and ensure SOP/HIPAA compliance.
