Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with load balancing (Nginx, Envoy and Envoy Gateway), proxies (Squid) and edge deployments.
• 6+ years cloud engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Networking, Security, Logging, and Application Monitoring.
• Maintaining customer commitments.
• Navigating the complexities of the business and service reliability.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to coach & mentor other ICs.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or 10 years of equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of up-time and quality of service to Apple’s customers through operational quality.
• Design, maintain, and improve global production traffic infrastructure.
• Own reliability issues using a wide variety of tools.
• Identify areas to improve service resiliency through chaos engineering, performance testing, and game days.
