Job summary

Wiz is seeking a Threat Intelligence Researcher (Cloud) to join the Threat Research team. You will track, analyze, and report on the most advanced threats targeting cloud environments and help protect Wiz customers and partners.

You will leverage open and closed data, track state-backed and financially motivated actors, and communicate findings to diverse audiences, including customers and the public. This full-time role offers equity and benefits as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security or threat research, focusing on advanced actors or financially motivated campaigns.
• Ability to identify and track threat actors across multiple data sets.
• Deep knowledge of at least one actor-tracking mechanism (malware, infrastructure, etc.).
• Experience with large-scale telemetry and data querying via scripting.
• Familiarity with malware analysis and using YARA.
• Willingness to take on multiple roles to build actor tracking.

Responsibilities

• Identify and track advanced state-backed or financially motivated attackers targeting cloud ecosystems.
• Hunt across data sources to identify campaigns targeting Wiz customers.
• Leverage open and closed data to trace infrastructure and malware used by actors.
• Investigate and attribute incidents and campaigns to understand attackers and motives.
• Communicate novel findings to customers and the public.
