Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for hybrid, cloud‑native architecture work. You will guide design across architecture, integration, security, and verification in regulated environments, with a focus on AWS GovCloud, OpenShift, and DevSecOps practices.

The role supports a W2 contract and offers benefits in a remote/hybrid setup with exposure to AI-assisted engineering and modern container platforms. Strong collaboration within Scaled Agile teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven cloud architecture and technical planning for hybrid on‑prem to AWS.
• Hands‑on with ECS, EKS, and OpenShift including Kubernetes, Helm and pipelines.
• Track record in integration, V&V and fielding for regulated environments like FISMA/FedRAMP High.
• Security architecture experience with segmentation and SSP/ATO mapping.
• Extensive experience with DevSecOps toolchains and scalable Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture planning for hybrid on‑prem to AWS designs.
• Conduct platform trade studies and sizing for ECS, EKS, OpenShift.
• Drive integration, verification, validation, and fielding within secure boundaries.
• Design security architecture and mapping to SSP/ATO controls.
• Engineer networking patterns (ALB, WAF, PrivateLink) and endpoints.
• Own requirements development and technical documentation.
• Provide system design guidance within Scaled Agile teams.
• Lead Java/microservices cloud system design and integration.
• Apply DevSecOps practices (CI/CD, SBOM, image signing, secrets).
• Incorporate AI-assisted engineering for coding and testing.
