Job summary

CFP Board is seeking a Senior Systems and Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and sustain the organization’s IT infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure engineering.
• Expertise managing enterprise environments including Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) including networking, virtual servers, storage, and identity services.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, DNS) and enterprise network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Intune, Group Policy, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 administration, including cloud email security standards.
• Experience integrating and managing MFA across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management and proactive maintenance of certs.
• Infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell); experience with monitoring/endpoint management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain on‑premises and cloud infrastructure systems including servers, storage, virtualization, and networking components.
• Ensure availability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure services (AD, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, backups).
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and expansions with minimal business disruption.
• Manage cloud environments (Azure, AWS) including VMs, storage, networking, and identity services.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for escalated infrastructure issues.
• Monitor health, capacity, and performance; perform proactive maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to meet security standards and patching programs.
• Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve efficiency, security, and performance.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and after‑hours support when needed.
