Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Sr. Cloud Systems Administrator to join a high-tech team. You will administer a Linux-based environment and manage open-source and cloud-based technologies, focusing on scalable, secure AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

You will lead efforts in security, network design, and operations, with emphasis on compliance and rapid incident response across dev, test, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4 additional years of experience.
• 8 years Linux based system administration.
• 3 years cloud-based systems administration.
• Experience with Agile Development teams.
• Experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures.
• Experience in secure networks (PKI, IPSEC, VPN).
• Experience developing/maintaining an ATO.

Responsibilities

• Deploy highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS.
• Strong understanding and administration of the AWS platform.
• Collaborate with Development to build CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and configuration of infrastructure.
• Maintain system patching, updates, and backups.
• Install, maintain, and patch system applications.
• Troubleshoot system and application issues and remediate.
• Coordinate with vendors for support and upgrades.
• Analyze and resolve configuration issues in dev/test/prod environments.
• Maintain VPNs between customer network, cloud and other environments.
• Participate in security compliance efforts.
• Design and implement AWS and cluster networking approaches.
• Perform continuous monitoring and lifecycle management, respond to incidents.
