Job summary

Morgan Stanley in New York seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer / SRE to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will implement IaC with Terraform, manage VMs and containers, and lead high-stakes production deployments.

You will apply SRE practices, define SLIs/SLOs, automate toil, and improve incident response while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, compliant cloud services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cloud/DevOps/SRE with production ownership.
• Strong hands-on experience across AWS and Azure, plus GCP exposure.
• Expert-level Terraform (modules, state, CI integration).
• Strong Kubernetes operations (EKS/AKS/GKE), including upgrades and scaling.
• Experience implementing SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, incident response, postmortems.
• Strong Linux scripting (Bash/Python).
• Security fundamentals: IAM/RBAC, encryption, auditing in cloud.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain multi-cloud infra using Terraform.
• Design landing zones with account/subscription structure and guardrails.
• Implement cloud network constructs (VNETs/VPCs, subnets, NSGs).
• Manage compute: EC2/VMs, AKS/EKS/GKE, container runtimes.
• Deploy workloads with Kubernetes and registries; use Helm/Kustomize.
• Enforce policy-as-code guardrails (OPA/Conftest) and drift detection.
• Lead incident response and postmortems; reduce toil via automation.
