Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to serve as the senior client-facing technology leader for the Cloud Solutions team. You will partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, identify opportunities, and develop strategies that deliver measurable value across complex cloud initiatives.

This role leads engagements from discovery through deployment and transition, collaborating with the Cloud Center of Excellence and vendor teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise

Qualifications

• Experience serving in solution architecture, consulting, technical leadership, or customer-facing technology roles.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional technology initiatives from discovery through implementation.
• Advanced understanding of Azure services, cloud architecture, networking, and security concepts.
• Working knowledge of AWS and cloud architecture principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagement activities, including solution discovery, requirements gathering, and business case development.
• Translate business needs into practical, scalable technology solutions with long-term support.
• Develop solution strategies, roadmaps, and delivery plans for cloud and application initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership to architects, engineers, and delivery teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and business value.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies to support successful outcomes.
