Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to serve as the primary technical advisor for client engagements in cloud and application initiatives. You will partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements, and deliver strategies that create measurable business value.

You will guide solution lifecycle from discovery through deployment, working with Cloud Center of Excellence and delivery teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years of related experience in cloud architecture or tech leadership.
• Experience translating business needs into scalable cloud solutions.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical advisor for cloud solutions engagements.
• Lead client discovery, requirements gathering, and business case development.
• Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud designs.
• Manage full solution lifecycle from concept through deployment and transition to operations.
• Develop roadmaps and delivery plans for cloud, application, and technology initiatives.
• Lead complex engagements from concept to implementation and adoption.
• Collaborate with vendors, delivery teams, and CCoe to ensure standards and reuse.
• Provide guidance to architects, engineers, and delivery teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Assess options based on value, cost, risk, and long-term supportability.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Drive vendor evaluations and proof-of-concept activities to support decisions.
• Champion adoption of architecture standards and delivery best practices.
