Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer in the United States (Maryland) to join a mature, Java-based development effort. The role focuses on requirements analysis, software development, integration, testing, and maintenance within an Agile team using Quarkus and PrimeFaces for full-stack UI.

Candidates should have a BS in CS or related field, 8+ years of software engineering experience, 4+ years with Java, and 3+ years in integration/testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly desired or equivalent to two years of experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering including requirements analysis, development, installation, evaluation, maintenance and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• At least 4 years of experience with Java.
• At least 3 years of experience in software integration and software testing, including test plans and test scripts.
• Cloud Developer Certification or comparable cloud certification.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and broaden Java-based skills within an Agile team.
• Utilize technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces for full-stack development and UI development.
• Support data management and integration with downstream tools in a secure environment.
