Job summary

Capital One is seeking a senior software engineering leader to head a portfolio of cloud-first, full-stack projects. You will mentor developers, collaborate with product managers, and deliver robust, compliant solutions at scale for millions of users.

This role requires deep experience in Java, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, and open source frameworks, with a proven track record in Agile environments. Sponsorship for eligible candidates is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s preferred.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience (internship not counted).
• At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 9+ years of Java experience preferred.
• 4+ years of AWS experience preferred.
• 4+ years of open source frameworks experience preferred.
• 1+ years of people management experience preferred.
• 2+ years of Agile practices experience preferred.
• Experience with interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
• Proficiency with Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services.
