Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a team delivering secure, scalable IT infrastructure for federal contracting needs. Remote or hybrid work options are available, with up to 20% travel and a Secret clearance requirement.

You will lead administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure, manage virtualization, networking, and endpoint security, and drive compliance with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC as part of a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• 10+ years in systems/infrastructure IT with 7+ years in senior roles.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, and core infra services.
• Strong experience with M365 GCC High, Azure, Entra ID, and security controls.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and federal contractor cybersecurity.
• Ability to lead, document, and coordinate remediation and audits.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call support.
• U.S. work authorization and ability to obtain required clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize enterprise servers, networks, storage, cloud services, and virtualization.
• Manage Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
• Administer Azure and Entra ID, including MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain Windows Server/AD, DNS, DHCP, and file services; oversee GPOs and PKI.
• Administer VMware and Hyper-V environments; monitor patching and lifecycle.
• Support enterprise networking, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and security tech.
• Monitor availability and security events; troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Plan upgrades, migrations, cloud implementations, and technology refreshes.
• Manage licensing, cloud subscriptions, certificates, domains, warranties, and vendor relations.
