Job summary

Evans & Chambers in Chantilly, VA is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity / Information Security Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team. This role involves supporting a cloud-based technical development program within a classified network environment. Candidates should have 6-10 years of cybersecurity experience, active TS/SCI clearance, and proficiency with Linux and programming languages. You will lead security scans, evaluate system changes, and ensure compliance with NIST standards. A hybrid work schedule may be considered.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of relevant ISSE or cybersecurity experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux, including command line proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, 800-160, DISA/CIS STIGs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement security controls per NIST SP 800-53.
• Develop secure configuration baselines.
• Attend Agile standup meetings for status updates.
• Conduct security scans and analyze results.
