Job summary

Dark Wolf in the Washington DC Metro area seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, Cloud Automation & Security Controls to assess and validate configurations and best practices across complex cloud systems. The role will operate onsite at customer locations and collaborate with the Dark Wolf team to uphold high security standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity control assessment, active IAT Level 2 certification, and experience evaluating cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience focused on control assessment or implementations.
• Active IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, CND, CCNA Security).
• Experience evaluating information systems design, containerized apps, and cloud architecture.
• Ability to communicate technical subjects clearly in written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Develop remediation recommendations to improve client cybersecurity processes and configurations.
• Evaluate information systems design, containerized apps, and cloud architectures for security alignment with standards.
• Validate policies and procedures for efficacy in security controls.
• Develop automated methods to monitor risk and compliance.
• Use cloud security posture tools to monitor AWS for configuration drift.
• Ingest IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu) and docs to identify gaps.
• Draft statements of residual cybersecurity risks for operations.
• Assess and expand security controls with product teams.
