Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to define and implement security controls across a hybrid and multi-cloud environment. You will work with Platform Security, Infosec, and Infrastructure to secure our cloud footprint and build secure-by-default blueprints.

The role emphasizes automation, IaC, and advanced threat detection, with a base salary range and equity compensation for full-time employees. Roles based at the Roblox headquarters in San Mateo, CA are onsite.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience writing and maintaining code in Python, Golang or C#; willingness to learn new languages.
• Experience with automation, IaC, system hardening, container security concepts, cloud security policy and observability.
• Deep understanding of cloud service architecture and cloud security concepts.
• Familiarity with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
• Understanding of network security concepts and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Create security strategy and controls across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Partner with Infosec and Infrastructure teams to secure cloud infrastructure.
• Architect and scale self-healing security baseline and monitor cloud posture.
• Design secure-by-default blueprints with infrastructure teams.
• Deploy organizational security controls that balance security and developer velocity.
• Write and optimize detections tailored to our footprint.
