Job summary

PlanIT Group in Reston, VA is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to lead the secure multi-cloud strategy. You will craft Zero Trust blueprints, govern IAM, and implement automated guardrails with Terraform to empower fast development without compromising security.

You will shape AI/ML pipeline security, threat modeling, and audit readiness across SOC2 controls, while guiding Cloud Architecture with a strong security-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Cybersecurity with 6+ years architecting secure cloud environments at scale.
• Top-tier security certifications preferred.
• BS/advanced degree required or four extra years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong ability to communicate security risks to executives and influence roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of a global Zero Trust architecture across multi-cloud environments.
• Define IAM governance, network micro-segmentation, and data encryption policies.
• Develop Policy as Code with Terraform to automate guardrails and remediation.
• Oversee CNAPP/CSPM tooling for real-time misconfigurations and risk visibility.
• Conduct threat modeling for cloud-native systems and simulate APT scenarios.
• Serve as security advisor to Cloud Architecture, aligning DevOps with regulatory compliance (SOC2).
