Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Software Developer 4 to join the Infrastructure Planning and Capacity Management organization. You will design and build cloud-native services, data pipelines, and analytics platforms to enable capacity forecasting, deployment readiness, and sourcing operations at global scale.

The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with cloud-native architectures, and a passion for automation and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in Java, Python, Go, or C# with cloud-native service design.
• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with relational and/or distributed databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, source control, and observability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and operate cloud-native services supporting OCI infrastructure planning and capacity management.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, workflow engines, and automation platforms for business-critical processes.
• Develop and maintain distributed systems processing large-scale data sets.
• Collaborate with product managers, TPMs, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
• Create data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines to improve forecasting and visibility.
• Contribute to architecture reviews and engineering best practices.
• Drive reliability through monitoring, observability, and automation.
