Job summary

Sonatus is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to own the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipeline for a large OEM program. This on-site role sits at the customer's facility, partnering with their teams to deploy a GCP-based platform using Terraform, GitOps, and CI/CD automation.

You’ll optimize latency, cost, and reliability while coordinating with global Sonatus teams. The role requires deep GCP experience, strong Kubernetes and IaC skills, and hands-on scripting in Python/Go/Bash.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years building and operating production cloud infra with DevOps/SRE focus.
• GCP depth required; experience with GKE, IAM, VPC, Vertex preferred; AWS/Azure welcome.
• Experience treating infrastructure as code and running in customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the client’s GCP cloud platform (GKE, IAM, networking) with reliability, security and cost focus.
• Implement IaC using Terraform and maintain environment config as code.
• Operate via GitOps (Argo CD, Helm) with traceable changes from commit to production.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Provide on-site technical ownership for cloud access, provisioning and issue triage.
• Collaborate with Sonatus teams across multiple regions to align on platform strategy.
• Manage AI resources, model access and budgeting across Vertex and other services.
