Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. seeks a Principal Digital Assets Engineer to design and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS with EKS. You will build secure Docker images, onboard containerized apps to Kubernetes, and lead DevOps practices across teams.

You will mentor engineers, develop observability dashboards in Datadog, and create robust automation with Terraform and Python. Onsite roles apply as Fidelity moves to a primarily onsite model.

Qualifications

• Experience designing highly available multi-region Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS.
• Proficient with Helm charts, Jenkins CD pipelines, and Datadog dashboards.
• Familiar with Terraform for IaC and PostgreSQL Aurora in multi-region deployments.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting and scripting skills (Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Participates in architecture design teams; work with engineering partners to enable and drive initiatives from design to implementation.
• Develops observability solutions – dashboards, alerts, and synthetics.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
• Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
• Acts as a primary liaison for business unit product area(s) to resolve issues.
• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
• Mentors junior team members.
• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• Communicates complex subject-matter clearly to various audiences.
