Job summary

Koniag Government Services is seeking a Senior Cloud & Platform Systems Engineer to design, secure, and operate mission-critical cloud infrastructure and container platforms. This remote role supports a government customer with core hours 9am-5pm ET.

The engineer will deploy and manage resilient Kubernetes workloads on AWS, enforce STIG-based governance via Group Policy, and automate COTS software delivery while building observability with SIEM integration.

Qualifications

Experience architecting cloud infrastructure and container platforms.
Proficient in Kubernetes on AWS with high availability.
Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) baselines.
Experience configuring and applying Group Policy in enterprise environments.
Experience integrating observability and SIEM solutions for monitoring.

Responsibilities

Architect and operate cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes workloads.
Implement security governance and STIG baselines across environments.
Automate the packaging and delivery of COTS applications.
Integrate observability with SIEM for real-time monitoring and incident response.
