Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Cloud Platform Engineer in New Jersey to lead enterprise AWS infrastructure, focusing on AI/ML workloads and scalable foundations. You will drive governance, security, and automated provisioning, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will guide multi-account environments, advanced security controls, and modern cloud practices, enabling rapid AI deployments and reliable operations within regulated settings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform roles.
• Deep hands-on AWS compute, networking, storage, containers, security, and AI/ML services.
• Experience building cloud foundations for large-scale AI/ML workloads.
• Experience with GPU compute, high-throughput storage, and secure model serving infra.
• Experience applying AI/automation to cloud platform ops.
• Designing multi-account environments with AWS Control Tower, Organizations, and AFT.
• Expertise in cloud security, IAM, zero-trust, and regulated compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise-grade AWS cloud infra.
• Architect foundations for scaled AI/ML deployments.
• Apply AIOps, predictive monitoring, and AI-assisted infra management.
• Develop and maintain IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu) for automated provisioning.
• Establish governance, security guardrails, and compliance controls.
• Drive observability, reliability, performance, and proactive issue resolution.
• Partner with development, DevOps, SRE, security, and AI/ML teams.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization programs in regulated environments.
• Evaluate emerging cloud and AI tech; mentor engineers.
