Oracle is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Cloud Performance Organization in Reston, VA. The role focuses on optimizing OCI components, internal tools, and applications for performance, reliability, and scalability in a fast-growing cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and architecture of scalable, elastic distributed systems for high-throughput, hyperscale workloads.
• Define scalability requirements, optimize performance, and leverage distributed state management and data-plane platforms.
• Establish SLOs, KPIs, telemetry, dashboards, and alerts to ensure reliability and performance.
• Design and implement IaC and automation for cloud infrastructure; enable safe patching and rollbacks.
• Mentor engineers in troubleshooting and operational practices and collaborate across teams.
