Job summary

Fortreum seeks a seasoned Penetration Tester to join our team in Seattle or Northern Virginia, focusing on cloud and network testing across FedRAMP and other compliance frameworks. You will lead testing efforts, advise on vulnerabilities, and deliver polished results for Fortune 500 clients.

Responsibilities include API, web, and mobile testing, social engineering, and mentoring junior staff. A Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one is required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional services experience.
• 3+ years of web application and network penetration testing experience.
• Proficient in one or more scripting languages (bash, python, PowerShell, ruby, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of penetration testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, OSSTMM, and/or PTES.
• Ability to work in a SCIF in Northern Virginia or Seattle, WA.
• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Conduct network, application (API, mobile, web), and social engineering penetration testing.
• Advise customers on vulnerabilities, remediation, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare final deliverables within established timelines.
• Establish positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate project readiness with internal teams and clients.
• Pursue continual professional development and certifications (FedRAMP requirements).
• Perform project readouts with customers and communicate outcomes.
• Train and mentor junior team members.
• Interface with customers and internal delivery teams throughout engagements.
• Work in a SCIF in Seattle, WA.
