Title: Senior Cloud Operations Administrator
Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Hands-on experience monitoring, managing, and maintaining high availability web systems (Windows and Linux) as a System Administrator Engineer.
- Follow and champion ITIL Best Practices and Standards.
- Maintain data backups and Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Good understanding of networking (VNET, Subnet, private link, VNET peering).
- Work with networking, certificates, OAuth, Azure AD, ASE, ASP, AKS, Azure Apps, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Firewall, API Management, SQL Server, and databases on Azure.
- Leverage industry-standard tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, etc., to ensure excellent customer service.
- Implement routine Service Requests with automation where possible.
- Supervise Windows, Network, and Infrastructure trends for scalability and growth readiness.
- Develop scripts for configuration and infrastructure deployment using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Octopus, Ansible, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
- Assist the Cloud Support team in escalating issues and delegate tasks based on need and expertise.
- Create infrastructure as code scripts with Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, etc.
- Stay updated on emerging and existing Cloud Technologies, focusing on Azure and AWS.
- Analyze application logs, IIS logs, system logs, and security logs.
- Handle activities following secure practices (SSL, Certificates, Key Vault, Secrets).
- Must have experience with AWS and Azure.
Organizational Alignment
- Reports to the Manager, Cloud Support.
- Builds and manages relationships with multi-functional teams.
Technical Proficiencies
- Proficient with logging and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Application Insights, DataDog.
- Experience with Windows, Linux Servers, and Kubernetes administration.
- Experience with automation scripting languages like PowerShell, YAML, JSON.
- Configuration management experience with Ansible, Terraform, Azure Automation.
- Experience with SQL Server database maintenance (preferred).
- Experience with ServiceNow (preferred).
Experience
- 8+ years as a Cloud Operations Administrator.
- Supporting high availability Windows/Linux servers, especially WISA stack.
- 5+ years working with Azure and AWS cloud technologies.
- 1+ years working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working within Scrum, Kanban, or Lean methodologies.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
