Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to support secure AWS services, enterprise networks, and mission-owner integrations while maintaining platform availability and incident readiness.

You will implement RMF/STIG controls, document runbooks and architecture, and contribute to continuous monitoring and vulnerability remediation in a government-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, physical science, or related field.
• 10 years in a technical field with security-focused experience.
• Experience with cloud automation and IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Lambda, Python, JSON).
• Experience with AWS networking and RMF/STIGs, vulnerability mgmt, and continuous monitoring.
• Ability to document networks, runbooks, procedures and remediation plans.
• Current guidance on risk assessment and cyber security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Focusing on user support and operational continuity, ensuring the platform remains available and usable.
• Providing hands-on cyber security support for secure AWS services, enterprise network components, platform operations, and service restoration.
• Evaluating and remediating potential security risks across cloud, network, host, and application layers.
• Maintaining network diagrams, configuration records, runbooks, and technical procedures.
• Supporting cyber security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and incident handling.
