Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified software engineer to build scalable cloud-native services powering the Catalyst Center platform. You will design, develop, test, and maintain distributed applications using Kubernetes, Java, Go, and Python, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software.

You will contribute to AI-assisted development practices and help drive platform performance, resiliency, and security across large enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/Software Eng and 5+ years of software development in Java/Go/Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and Linux-based development environments.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable cloud-native services for Cisco Catalyst Center and automate enterprise network operations.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain distributed applications using Kubernetes, Java, Go, and Python.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and security teams to translate customer needs into features.
• Contribute to AI-assisted engineering practices to improve development velocity and software quality.
