Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with deep expertise in .NET and C# to design scalable, secure backend services for enterprise platforms. You will focus on domain-driven service design, API contracts, and event-driven patterns in an Agile environment on cloud platforms.

You will champion automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and AI-assisted development to improve quality and delivery speed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering/IT or equivalent practical experience.
• Senior-level backend software engineering with .NET/C# expertise.
• Strong experience in system integration, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Proficient in designing REST APIs and service contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve robust backend services using .NET/C#.
• Model complex business domains and design data structures adaptable to change.
• Define service boundaries, API contracts, and integration patterns.
• Contribute to shared backend architecture, standards, and patterns.
• Evaluate trade-offs between performance, consistency, and delivery speed.
• Design RESTful APIs with versioning, error handling, and contracts.
• Implement asynchronous messaging and event-driven patterns for integrations.
• Design events reflecting meaningful business state changes.
• Support synchronous and asynchronous service communication.
• Write clean, testable code and implement unit/integration/contract tests.
• Build reliable automated regression test suites and data strategies.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and cloud deployments (Azure).
• Maintain logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term production fixes.
• Collaborate in distributed Agile/Scrum teams across time zones.
• Participate in architecture/code reviews and documentation.
