Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field as required.
• 6+ years of software/Hardware/Systems engineering experience stated.
• Master’s degree adds 5+ years in related work.
• PhD in related field with 4+ years experience stated.
• Experience with real codebases beyond coursework or internships.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/React/Python stack.
• Familiarity with AWS and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services under guidance from senior team members
• Implement features and enhancements on existing systems using React/TypeScript frontends and Python backend services
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established standards, including unit tests and integration tests
• Build and consume RESTful APIs
• Work with relational databases for data modeling, querying, and performance tuning
• Debug issues, analyze root causes, and propose fixes for moderately complex problems
• Collaborate effectively with teammates and cross-functional partners
• Contribute to code reviews by providing thoughtful, constructive feedback
• Participate in UX and design reviews
• Document design decisions, code changes, and operational considerations
