Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior Cloud & Kubernetes Engineer to support and optimize Kubernetes environments on SIPRNet, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards. This role involves managing Kubernetes clusters, automating deployments, and securing Linux environments. Candidates must have expertise in infrastructure automation, Kubernetes administration, and strong troubleshooting abilities. The position is onsite 5 days a week at Fort Meade and requires an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing self-managed Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration, particularly RHEL.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code for automated infrastructure management.
• Experience with Kubernetes administration, including RBAC and security policies.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools.
• Knowledge of DoD security frameworks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize workloads for security and performance.
• Scripting experience for automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize self-managed Kubernetes clusters.
• Manage and secure Linux environments for Kubernetes clusters.
• Automate infrastructure deployments and configurations.
• Ensure security compliance for Kubernetes and RHEL.
• Monitor and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
• Ensure compliance with DoD security frameworks.
