Job summary

University of Colorado System Administration seeks a Principal Cloud Application Engineer to lead enterprise cloud integration development and governance across CU's distributed platforms.

You will design and implement scalable, secure data exchange between campus applications, guiding integration standards and modernizing delivery practices in collaboration with stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related IT field with 3+ years in senior integration roles.
• Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise integrations.
• Experience designing and delivering cloud-based integration solutions in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform engineering, delivery governance and technical direction for cloud-based integration and messaging platforms.
• Define integration frameworks, establish standards for reliability, security, and automated software delivery.
• Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for secure, scalable solution delivery.
• Provide technical direction and collaboration with stakeholders to align AI-enabled or data-driven services with governance standards.
