Job summary

Cabaletta Bio is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to administer and advance our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will manage AWS resources, Windows and Linux servers, networking, security controls, backups, and disaster recovery, while partnering with science and business teams in a regulated biotech setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with vendors and internal IT, driving automation, platform modernization, and reliability to support growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive infrastructure administration experience.
• Experience supporting biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizations, including GxP-regulated environments and CSV/change control/compliance.
• Experience administering AWS cloud environments.
• Strong experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, etc.
• Foundational cybersecurity experience, including vulnerability remediation and access management.
• Experience supporting backup, recovery, and DR processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, VPCs, security groups, storage, monitoring).
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor performance, capacity, reliability, and participate in upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain documentation, architectures, standards, and SOPs; support operational best practices.
• Support network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and wireless networking.
• Design and support cloud-native and containerized workloads (Docker, ECS, EKS).
• Assist with cloud modernization, automation, and platform engineering initiatives.
• Support data platforms, internal apps, and AI-enabled solutions infrastructure.
• Support cybersecurity controls, vulnerability remediation, and security monitoring.
• Assist in backup, disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity.
