Job summary

Workato is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Global Core Infrastructure team in Palo Alto, California. In this full-time role, you will design, scale, and secure systems that power our automation platform trusted by thousands of enterprises.

Qualified candidates will have 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, a strong grasp of cloud infrastructure, and proficiency in Linux and AWS. A competitive salary of $180,000 to $240,000, along with benefits, is offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in distributed systems and cloud‑native architectures.
• Strong understanding of Linux internals, including networking and system‑level performance tuning.
• Experience operating infrastructure on AWS at scale.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a global, distributed cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and deliver platform initiatives.
• Patch and optimize open-source components for performance and security.
• Manage and provision AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Write and maintain Kubernetes manifests for critical workloads.
