Job summary

DWP Digital, the UK government's digital arm, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and operate cloud-hosted platforms in a hybrid environment.

You will migrate and modernise Ansible and GitLab environments, automate repetitive tasks, improve reliability, and lead engineers to adopt IaC with Terraform and CaC with Ansible, while applying ITIL and Agile practices to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience enabling engineering teams to adopt standards and frameworks.
• Significant experience using GitLab and developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing IaC with Terraform and CaC with Ansible.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL and Debian) in large environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL Incident/Problem/Change and Agile practices.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop engineering teams.
