Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer (contractor) to design, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments. The role emphasizes security, automation, and best practices while supporting SaaS/PaaS workloads.

The successful candidate will work with Azure AVS, ARM templates, and VMware technologies, ensuring reliable cloud services, proper identity management, and robust on-premises integration.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of Windows/Linux administration, automation, and management.
• 5–7 years of automation scripting including PowerShell and other IaC tools.
• 8+ years in Systems Administration/Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in IT Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Azure AVS cloud solutioning, maintenance, and deployment.
• Experience with AWS; knowledge of OCI is a plus.
• Manage cloud infra: VMs, Azure DBs, storage, VNets, SRM, ARM templates, load balancers, and Azure AD.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades to maximize efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Manage on-premises infra: AD, DNS, VMware, firewalls, routing.
• Identity and user management via Azure or third parties.
• Other duties as assigned.
